Tank Review: I really love this tank, it is so tall and allows lots of juice so you don't have to refill it every 5 minutes. To fill the tank easily unscrew the top and you have almost 360 degrees around the coil to drip your juice in. The coil has large openings inside the tank allowing for maximum juice absorption. This allows you to chain vape without ever getting that dry hit that everybody hates. The Cloud production is amazing with the large bore drip tip, allowing you to get the biggest hit you can possibly handle.

The adjustable airflow and wide bore drip tip allow massive airflow through this sub ohm tank. You can customize it to however you like, but I have found having the airflow at the lower end allows more juice to get sucked into the coil.

Wattage Range: Aspire recommends to vape the Cleito 120 from 75-100 watts. The Cleito is capable of vaping up to 120 watts (hence the name Cleito 120) but I find the sweet spot around 90-100 watts for most juices.

The Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King

SMOK TFV12 Cloud Beast King Subohm tank

SMOK TFV12 Cloud Beast King Sub ohm Tank

Specifications

  • Tank Capacity 6ml
  • Top fill easy swing open top
  • Adjustable Airflow
  • 510 threads
  • Delrin Drip tip

Kit Includes

  • TFV8 Cloud Beast Tank
  • Replacement Pyrex Glass tube
  • .12 ohm V12-T12 Duodenary Coil
  • .15 ohm V12-X4 Quadruple Coil
  • .15 ohm V12-Q4 "Lightning Bolt" Quadruple Coil
  • Spare O rings and parts
  • User Manual

Tank Review: This huge tank from SMOK is very popular and produces great flavor but not with all of the different coil options. This tank loves sucking down juice, and vapes like a champ. The Cloud production is crazy and is a must try for anybody who likes to vape at high wattage.

Flavor: I found that the .12ohm V12-T12 and .15ohm V12-X4 coils really lacked in the flavor department. These coils were make to vape at extremely high wattages for cloud chasers and not for flavor. The .15ohm V12-Q4 produces the best flavor in my opinion. It has lightning bolt shaped holes on the coil which is also pretty cool. I will usually vape this coil at around 110 Watts for the best flavor. The air bubbles sometimes get stuck in the lighting bolt, but this doesn't effect your vaping experience.

Wattage Range: The prebuilt coils in the package state what different wattages you can vape on this tank. Start at a low wattage around 60-70 to break in the coil and then the skys the limit allowing you to vape up to 200 watts. The optional rebuildable RBA coil is great if you don't want to keep buying these expensive coils or if your juice is a coil gunker. The RBA deck doesn't come in the standard package so be sure to purchase it separately or buy the RBA edition if you are planning on rebuilding.

The Uwell Crown 3

Uwell Crown 3 III Subohm Tank

Uwell Crown 3 Sub Ohm Tank

Specifications

  • 4ml capacity
  • Adjustable Airflow
  • Top Fill
  • Delrin drip tip
  • 510 threads

Kit Includes

  • Crown 3 Tank
  • Replacement Quartz Glass tube
  • .5 ohm coil (70-80 Watts)
  • .25ohm Coil (80-90 Watts)
  • Spare Parts package

Tank Review: The Uwel Crown 3 sub ohm tank is a HUGE step up from the Crown 2. It features new bigger coils that have large vertical slits in the coil for maximum e liquid absorption. The coils have a plug and pull design instead of twisting them in the threads like many other subohm tanks. The coils are made out of SS316 Stainless steel instead of Kanthal which are in the various SMOK tanks.

The Crown 3 featues a Quartz Crystal Glass tube with a threaded top fill cap. Just unscrew the cap and fill it up. It doesn't have the swing open design of the SMOK tanks which I like for refilling the tank while driving. Otherwise you have to hold the top cap in your mouth while refilling and driving.

The tank comes in a variety of colors Rainbow, Sapphire Blue, Black, and Stainless steel.

Flavor: The flavor that this tank makes is very good but you are restricted to lower wattage then the other popular models on the market. This is not a tank for cloud chasing like the other high wattage subohm tanks currently available. The manufacturer says it can go to 90 Watts, but make sure you have a good amount of PG in your juice so it doesn't have a hard time wicking in more juice.

Wattage Range: With the .5ohm coil you can start at around 75 watts, but I wouldn't go much higher than that. This Tank is the best with the .25ohm coil, almost everybody uses it. One time when I went to my local vape shop all of the .25ohms were sold out, while they had a full box of .5ohm coils.

The .25 ohm coil is great in the 85-90 Watt range, if your a chain vaper keep it around 80 watts and give it a second or two to suck more juice in after a hit.

The Horizon Arctic V12

Horizon Artic V12 Subohm Tank

Horizon Artic V12 Sub ohm Tank

  • Top Fill
  • Adjustable Air flow
  • Delrin drip tip
  • 5ml Capacity
  • 510 threads

Kit includes

  • Horizon Artic V12 Tank
  • .1 ohm Coil
  • .3 ohm Coil
  • Replacement Pyrex glass tube

Tank Review: This huge tank holds a whopping 5ml of juice and you will need it with how much juice this tank burns. This tank is capable of running at super high wattage with its .1 ohm coil and produces huge thick clouds of vapor. The flavor is among the best of the new sub-ohm tanks. The adjustable air flow allows massive amounts of air for the huge cloud production making it a favorite for chucking clouds. If your looking for a tank that vapes at over 100 watts, this tank is definitely for you.

Wattage Range: This tank will truly deliver thick clouds at the highest wattage tanks have ever seen. The .1 ohm Coil can vape continuously at 160 Watts while the .3 ohm coil hits its sweet spot around 140 Watts. This tank is for the advanced vaper looking for the ultimate flavor and cloud production out of a sub-ohm tank

The Kangertech Toptank Mini

Kanger Toptank Mini Subohm Tank

Kangertech Toptank Mini Sub ohm tank

Specifications

  • 4.5ml Juice Capacity
  • Easy Top Fill
  • Adjustable Airflow
  • Delrin drip tip
  • 510 threads

Kit Includes

  • Kangertech Toptank Mini
  • .15ohm Ni200 Coil
  • .5 ohm Coil
  • RBA coil
  • Prebuilt micro coil
  • Cotton
  • Screws
  • Screwdriver

Tank Review: Kangertech has come along way in the vaping industry with this mini tank. This tank will give you great flavor and cloud production for a mini tank. I would suggest this for vapers that are looking for a step up from something like a crown tank.

Wattage Range: The Toptank Mini kit gives you a lot of options with what you want to accomplish with your tank. The .15 coil requires you to use temp control on your mod because the coil is made of Nickel, so I would recommend using the .5 coil for ease of use. With the .5 ohm coil I wouldn't go higher than 60 watts on this tank. Take the RBA coil into your local vape shop and have them build it for you if your in the mood to experiment with how high of wattage you can run through this minitank.

Benefits of Using a Sub Ohm Tank

I'm glad you are doing your research on which sub-ohm tank to buy with all the choices on the market right now.

For the past year, Sub-ohm tanks have been outselling RDA's for their convenience and their extreme cloud output. They also are able to handle high wattage like an RDA, so people are finally being able to vape like they want to out of a sub-ohm tank.

The ohm meter that is on your mod refers to Ohms law. Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points. The lower the ohms the higher voltage and hence wattage you can pass through your coils. Higher wattage also means it drains your batteries faster.

Higher wattage means better flavor, better cloud output, and a better vaping experience. You no longer have to vape at a 6mg nicotine level to receive the same amount of nicotine.

The more favor you create equals more nicotine to your lungs, but this also means using more juice. A year or two ago, using more juice would be a big deal, but e liquid pricing has come down, which means using a sub-ohm tank has become more affordable.

Conclusion

So those are the top sub ohm tanks of the year, more will be coming out soon as sub ohming is the new vaping craze. I hope I provided enough information for you to choose which tank fits best for you.

Vaping has come a long way in just a few years. These new sub-ohm tanks give the flavor, cloud production, and the power of a dripper without the mess and having the rewick the cotton every week. Once you buy one, you'll never go back to an RDA, I promise. you.
